My intentions were to have fast cuts leading up to the lyrics 'My ex man brought his new girlfriend' - however, I realised that I didn't have enough footage of that location to do this. So instead of re-filming more footage, I decided to use a different location and have the singer lip-sync the 'Hey hey hey ... to this sick beat'. From doing this, I then had the idea to incorporate both the pieces of footage together for my video.
After editing my previous video, I then decided to re-edit parts of my footage where my main actor is at the cafe as black and white. I found this to be effective as it enhance the quality shots from that location. Furthermore, I think that it allows my video to imply more of a reflective look, as well it can contrast with the shots where she is sitting in the cafe lip-syncing - possibly suggesting to the audience that she reflecting on an event of the past.
